The management of Quantcom, one of the leading Central European telecommunication operators, has announced today the successful activation of a backbone transmission route with coherent DWDM technology between Bratislava and Vienna.
This new line, which connects locations at a distance of approximately 110 kilometers, strengthens Quantcom's leading position in the market and confirms its commitment to invest into innovative technologies and development. With this new infrastructure, Quantcom expands the range of services for its customers and strengthens its position in Central Europe.
Not only is this route built between the strategic points of SITEL in Bratislava and Interxion in Vienna, Quantcom has also launched the first Lambda service in its network with a capacity of 400GE - for the NIX.CZ Association, the largest neutral node (Internet Exchange Point - IXP) in the Czech Republic. "We have created sufficient capacity and business potential for future development, with the possibility of going up to capacities of n*1Tbps," says Pavel Kvíčala, Manager of Quantcom's access network construction and maintenance department.
"We are happy to cooperate with Quantcom for a long time. The new backbone transmission route between Bratislava and Vienna represents a significant shift in our activity. Its long-term goal is to strengthen the network infrastructure and capacity of NIX.CZ for our users, who appreciate quality and reliable services," said Adam Golecký, CEO of the NIX.CZ Association.
This strategic move significantly increases the speed and reliability of the network, while also making it even more robust and resistant to possible outages. "Quantcom's main goal is to provide its customers with the best possible services, and the activation of this route is a clear proof of that," adds Pavel Kvíčala.
